Hello, concert-lovers! This week is a lovely mish-mosh of genres for concert-going all around Boston—the fall season of heavy hitters just keep on rolling through, so catch them before they retreat to the studio once more!
Wednesday, September 26th
Grimes at the Paradise Rock Club – Lovers of the indie and the strange rejoice—Grimes is in town. The Canadian-born 24-year-old first turned heads with her 2010 debut Geidi Primes and is currently touring in support of newest release Visions.
Friday, September 28th
First Aid Kit at The Royale – Dreamy folk Swedes arrive with infinite floral print in two to the Royale this Friday with tracks from their new album The Lion’s Roar. You’ll swoon, you’ll smile, and you’ll feel inadequate for being older than them.
Jack White at the Agganis Arena – Mr. White makes his long-anticipated stop in Boston with his first solo project, the heavily lauded Blunderbuss. Word is that the rock legend of our generation isn’t stingy about performing older material, so don’t shy away if you’re still hankering for that B-side from “Icky Thump”.
Saturday, September 29th
The Wallflowers at the Paradise Rock Club – This band is one of the enduring alternative successes of the 1990’s—with six solid albums under their belts and a tour to promote their newest, Glad All Over, there’s no reason not to be.
Happy music loving!
