New Releases Tuesday

Welcome to New Releases Tuesday on WERS. Every Tuesday we’ll take a look around the music scene and bring you updates on, you guessed it, the new albums coming out this week.

GREEN DAY, !UNO!: Punk rockers, Green Day are back with their ninth studio album, !Uno! which drops today, September 25th. It is the first in a series of three records to be released between now and January, 2013. The other two albums are aptly named, !Dos! and !Tre!. !Uno! was produced by chairman of Warner Brothers Records, Rob Cavallo.

MUMFORD & SONS, BABEL: The sophomore album, Babel, from Mumford & Sons is being released today. Babel is the follow-up to the English folk/rock band’s smash hit, Sigh No More. As with Sigh No More, Babel was produced by Markus Dravs, one of the producers of Coldplay’s Viva La Vida. Tune in to WERS on Saturday, September 29th at 9 AM for Inside Mumford & Sons: Babel, a special on the band’s new album, hosted by Matt Pinfield and presented by FMQB Productions and Glassnote Records.

DUM DUM GIRLS, END OF DAZE EP: The Dum Dum Girls have a new five-track EP, End Of Daze, out today. The EP is their first release since their sophomore album, Only In Dreams, which dropped a year ago. Three of the tracks on the EP including their cover of Strawberry Switchblade’s “Trees And Flowers” were originally recorded for Only In Dreams, but didn’t make it onto the record.

NO DOUBT, PUSH AND SHOVEPush And Shove, No Doubt’s first album in eleven years, drops today, September 25th. Gwen, Tom, Tony, and Adrian are back in action with their 6th studio album to date. Push And Shove features the single “Settle Down” and the title track of the record features Major Lazer and Busy Signal.
