Watch New David Byrne & St. Vincent Video

Nothing beats collaborations. When you combine the Talking Heads’ David Byrne and WERS favorite St. Vincent, you get an album that’s hard to explain (other than that there are plenty of horns in the songs). The two just released the video for their single “Who” off of their record Love This Giant.

Explaining the meaning of the video, however, is much more difficult than describing the album. It starts with Byrne getting out of an old car, hunching his way over to Annie Clark who is sprawled on the road as if she was just hit. The black and white scheme emphasizes all of their stiff dance moves as they wiggle on the roadside because, well, why not? It isn’t too hard to picture the two of them sitting down and coming up with the idea for this video (or how much fun they must have had while filming it!). Who knows – maybe it was all director Martin de Thurah’s idea.

What do you think of the video? Their album? Let us know below!

Love This Giant will be released September 10th but can be streamed in its entirety over at NPR right now.
