The WERS Artist Of The Week is Bob Dylan. The singer-songwriter will be releasing his thirty-fifth studio album, Tempest, next Tuesday on Columbia Records!
The last 10 years have proven to be very fruitful and productive for Dylan and Tempest is sure to continue that trend. The record will be his first studio album since 2009′s Christmas In The Heart.
Tempest is already recieving advanced critical praise, including a perfect five-star review from Rolling Stone. It has also been noted that the record will show fans a darker side of Dylan. The record features the first single (and WERS favorite), “Duquesne Whistle”, as well as “Roll On John”, which is a tribute to John Lennon. Another standout track is the title track, which is a 14 minute long epic about the sinking of the Titanic.
Dylan will be performing a show with his band this Friday, September 7th at Mountain Park in Holyoke, MA. Be on the lookout for Tempest when it is released next week!
