Timeless Tuesday: Mac Miller Riot

This past weekend, Boston celebrated its third annual Boston Urban Music Festival. The Boston Urban Music Festival is a free concert put on for the city by the Mayor’s Office to celebrate unity. It is also a place to showcase local talent as well as national talent. During last year’s festival in August, Mac Miller was the headliner and he caused quite a stir. Some 40,000 people showed up as early as sunrise to get a good view for the show. The crowd got rowdy during some of the opening acts because they really wanted to see Mac Miller. They were throwing plastic bottles of liquor around in the crowd and on stage at acts. The concert was almost shut down due to the restless crowd, but when Mac came one everybody focused that energy on having fun. At the time, Mac Miller says it was the biggest crowd he has every played for. For more info on Mac Miller, follow him on Twitter.
