Space Balloons Album Review

Attention all Earthlings! Have you ever wanted to be on a spaceship, soaring through the galaxy? Well, now you can fly away with Space Balloons! Space Balloons is a new children’s band consisting of Balloononians Admiral Sophia (Sophia Cacciola), Navigator Joe (Joe Kowan), and Science Officer Mike (Michael J. Epstein). Their album, Welcome to Balloononia, was released on May 1st, 2012.

After a long time of wondering through the galaxy, they became lost in space looking for their way back to planet Ballononia! Throughout their travels, they visit many other planets and share their customs, culinary interest for grapes, and their love for mustaches. They believe that there is only one way to share all of this information: through song.

This CD provides thirteen great tracks for you to dance and sing along to! They are a fun band that – though their songs – can be simple and add their own style and zaniness to the music, providing family fun songs your way! Welcome to Balloononia will have you drifting through space like a lost dancing astronaut.

Space Balloons create their own new space monster in “Giraffacroadillo Rex” that will have you stomping your feet and laughing through out the night! They love to talk about their favorite food – grapes – in many of their songs in a silly new way using their wacky instruments: a ukuele, saw, shaker, and more!

“(I want) Dessert for Breakfast” is a song that will teach you about healthy eating in a way that will make you want to chant along to all the words! Songs “ Ice-Nine” and “EICAC” are fun songs for you and your parents as they have been inspired by the famous author Kurt Vonnegut!

Space Balloons will have you dancing the night away with this new children’s group! Look forward to hearing some of their songs soon on the Playground. To find out more information, check out their website!
