New Show “Connections” to Join WERS Schedule

If several new songs each week just doesn’t satisfy your craving for new music, then you’re in luck. WERS is adding a brand new show to our weekly lineup that features music from up-and-coming acts like Purity Ring, Yeasayer, King Tuff, City and Colour, Polica, Japandroids, and many more. The show, called “Connections”, is hosted by Nic Harcourt and sponsored by Guitar Center.

“Connections: made by Guitar Center” is a collaboration between 88.5 KCSN Los Angeles and Guitar Center that will air Sunday nights from 12 AM – 1 AM on WERS. The weekly one-hour program will feature fresh, new music from across the globe and musical spectrum. It doesn’t matter if the artists are signed or unsigned – the show will play an eclectic mix of progressive and innovative artists that are worth knowing.

Harcourt is widely regarded as “one of the most influential DJs in America and one of music’s most respected tastemakers.” He was the music director for California’s KCRW and hosted “Morning Becomes Eclectic” for 10 years. Having Harcourt share his knowledge with us on-air will be more than a treat and we cannot wait to get things started this upcoming week!

Learn more about our brand new show by visiting the Connections website and tuning in this Sunday night (and every Sunday night) from 12 AM to 1 AM!
