The Chill Spot riddim is a riddim you cannot miss. Produced by Chimney Records, it gives off a stress-free feeling. It was released March 2012, but has become a heavy hitter recently. The riddim has something for everyone. It is a type that you can just play in the car, when you’re cleaning the house, or just when you want to chill. Christopher Martin takes it off with his tune “Chill Spot” which gives off a certain vibe – a peaceful one. Cecile does her thing with “Dem Yah Time”, celebrating modern day women. Tarrus Riley is on this riddim with his song “Dream Woman” which is a tune you have to hear; Tarrus Riley’s raspy but sweet voice sings about his perfect woman. For those that like I-Octane, his song “Jah a Keep Me Up” is another inspirational song for the youth demographic. Voicemail and Zagga are on this same riddim – that is going to become a hit in reggae history. The Chill Spot riddim sounds fresh and has a great combination of artist that goes well with the laidback melody. It features artists that are currently making a name for themselves in reggae and I know you will hear a lot more from them. Be sure to listen to Rockers from 7-10PM Monday-Friday to hear this and all the newest and hottest riddims!
