Bored of just sitting around at home this summer? Well, here are a couple fun things to do in the small town of Belmont, MA!
Only Belmont has a fun summer music festival for you and your friends every Friday starting July 13th through August 3rd. The Payson Park Music Festival has brought some amazing musicians your way, even some of your Playground favorites! Here you will be able to dance and sing along with Debbie and Friends on July 13th, Vanessa Trien and the Jumping Monkeys on July 20th, rock the day away with my favorite Playground artist Wayne Potash and The Music Fun Band on July 27th, and lastly The Super Cool Beans on August 3rd. These free shows will all be at noon at Payson Park, however look above your head and check with your parents to see if it is going to rain. If the weather is not as sunny as hoped, don’t worry – you will still be able to move your feet at the Belmont Public Library in the Children’s Room, where the performances will be moved to!

If the sun is shinning bright and you want to go for a walk or bike ride with your mom and dad, Belmont has a place for you! Beaver Brook is a free walking path that is fun to go to with your pets, friends, and family. It is a great spot to have a picnic or a family outing. However, if you feel like running around, there is just the thing for you. Beaver Brook has a playground that is fun all year round with a combination of swings, climbing structures, sand play areas, and other enjoyable diversions making this a wonderful stop! In the hot summer days be prepared with your swim suits as the rocks at the playground spray out water creating this fun playground to an amazing water park!
There are a bunch of fun things to do in the suburbs of Boston. Belmont has many places that you and your family could enjoy; these are only some entertaining summer events – check back later for more cool activities and events that you can enjoy!
