On Wednesday March 26th DUBBEST came into the WERS studio and played four tracks, ‘My Dub’, ‘Beast’, ‘Possession’, and ended with ‘Heat and Water’. They have been together for about three solid years with the current group they have now. They enjoy the consistency of reggae music, with the benefits of its calming energy. DUBBEST mixes it up roots reggae and infuse their own unique harmonizing sound that is different than most. Stay tuned for their new album, which is going to show a darker side to the bands sound. Serenata de Amor, a musical theater project spearheaded by visual media arts associate professor Claire Andrade-Watkins, was brought to Emerson this past year.
