Alage

Last night local rapper Alage came to the WERS studio to share his thoughts about being an up and coming rapper, and some of tracks he’s been making. Starting his rap career at 16 and heavily influenced by rap giants 2pac and Big Pun, Alage has been making moves in the Boston rap scene for years. Citing his life growing up in inner city Boston as big source of inspiration, Alage said he strives to make music that’s relatable and talks about real life issues. Alage of played a few tracks for us including “Do My Thing” and “Get Over It” which showed his skill not only with rhymes, but also with melodies. Alage’s released a handful of mixtapes—including his personal favorite “From Da Corner to the Radio”—that are available on his Reverbnation page at Reverbnation.com/AlageMusic and at Datpiff.com. We hope to have him back next year and don’t miss his show April 2nd at the Church of Boston.
