10 Questions For: MIT Chorallaries

The Chorallaries are MIT’s oldest co-ed a cappella group. They have an impressive history dating back to 1976, with 13 albums, and many competition achievements including placing as the first runner up in quarterfinals of this year’s ICCAs.

1. When you guys aren’t laying out sweet a cappella beats, what do you do for fun?

Save the world. No, seriously.

 

2. If you guys win the competition, what are you going to do with the prize money?

Buy a group kitten! Or use it towards producing our next CD… No definitely a kitten.

 

3.On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the birth of your first born child, how excited are you for All A Cappella Live?

4. What would you say you enjoy most about performing with the group?

Watching our group members show off their sweet dance moves.

 

5. What’s the craziest thing you guys have done together?

Once, we got stuck in a two-story service elevator.

 

6. What’s your favorite song that you perform?

The song we’re most known for: The Engineer’s Drinking Song.

 

7. Which host are you more excited to meet, Danielle or Griffin?

We know how to hack your computers. (just kidding! ….or are we?)

 

9. What would you say is the best aspect of your group?

We’re a really diverse bunch in terms of our interests, both in and out of school. It makes rehearsal really refreshing.
