Consumer Technology Report

In this week’s show, we’re taking a look at the newest trends in consumer technology. From smartphones to tablets to green manufacturing, the technology world is constantly changing. It might be hard to keep up with it sometimes, But we’ll do our best to help you out. We’ll tell you what’s big now and what’ll be big in the next few years in many different areas of the market.

To start off, Arjun Singh will tell us about tablets. While the iPad definitely has the market partially cornered, he’ll tell us why it could be seeing some tough competition.

We’ll then explore the ever-changing video game market. While controllers and interfaces are changing, Rebecca Morris explains a whole new type of game that could bring wholesale changes to the industry.

Next, we’ll check out maybe the most common new piece of technology in our world, smartphones. Andrea Olalia tells us about some innovative apps and competition within the market.

After that, we’ll see how all of this new technology can be taken on the go. Erin Farley talks with automotive journalists and mechanics about the newest trends and technological advancements in cars.

Car Technology

Maybe the biggest trend in consumer tech is an effort to make product manufacturing a bit greener. Emma-Jean Weinstein checks out how some environmentally-friendly dreams are becoming a reality in the manufacturing sect.

Green Technology

Finally, we’ll speak with Jay Elliot. He won’t tell us about any new technology on the rise, but instead he’ll tell us about the man behind most of it. Elliot is a former Senior Vice President at Apple who reported directly to Steve Jobs. He’s also the author of The Steve jobs Way: i-Leadership for a New Generation.
